Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 10, 2026
This policy explains what data Purlgrid (purlgrid.com), operated by Hugo Software Ltd., processes and why.
What we do not do
- No user accounts or passwords.
- No advertising, no tracking cookies, no third-party analytics.
- We do not store your email address or card details.
Payments (Stripe)
Purchases are paid through Stripe Checkout. Stripe collects your email address, name, billing country and card details to process the payment, send your receipt and prevent fraud, under Stripe's privacy policy. Stripe acts as an independent controller for that data.
What our server stores
For each purchase we store only:
- your licence code (
BNJ-…) and the pattern codes bought under it, - the Stripe Checkout session id,
- the purchase time, amount and currency.
We keep this so you can re-download your patterns from your library for as long as the service runs. Legal basis: performance of the contract (delivering what you bought). If you lose your licence code, we can find your purchase through Stripe using the email address you paid with.
The 3D viewer
The viewer runs entirely in your browser. Your colour choices and knit-along position stay in your browser and are not sent to us.
Server logs
Our hosting server keeps standard request logs (IP address, browser user agent, time, page requested) for a short period for security and to fix errors.
Hosting
The site and our server are hosted by Hetzner in the European Union (Germany).
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the data linked to your licence code, or ask us to delete it, by emailing [email protected] with the code. See Data removal. If you are in the UK or EU you may also complain to your data protection authority (in the UK, the ICO).
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes
We will post any changes on this page with a new date.
